They're both dumb. I suppose I like Megas a little more since they have more thought and work put into them. A new design, increased stats, new animations, new types (sometimes), etc.

I can see the appeal of the Z-Moves since having a "finisher" is always cool, especially now that we know certain Pokemon are getting their own unique ones, but in the end it's just one really powerful move.

Megas. Z-moves are cool, but they probably won't do much on the competitive scene, unless the entire "synchro" things is revealed, but even then I might just be narrowed down to just the Starters + Rockroff and Greninja.

I don't see the point in Z-Moves, they're one-per-battle powerful moves, like a free OHKO if used properly, they don't add anything else to a Pokemon.

Like what's even exciting about that event Snorlax? It's basically just a regular Snorlax.

Unless we see Z-moves do some crazy stuff instead of just being powerful damage type moves they're boring.

They even occupy the Pokemon's item slot.

There's not enough explanation on Z-Moves. They're still too vague at this point: How do they work, their damage, additional effect, and how would they impact the game: to compare to mega evolution.
Although, I'm leaning towards Megas.

Z moves do a bit more (in theory) to "help" the meta by giving even weaker pokes the ability to one shot most things or act as a wall breaker. Megas have more depth.

Megas are more interesting IMO but I won't miss them much if they vanish Except for beebro ;_;
