That's legit though, since they pronounce it like that in Japanese (Rejiasu) and they say it in the Lucario movie.

I've seen this mistake in media outlets countless times now. Fucking Pokémon Go.
>>28221857
Out of all the ones out there, this one bothers me the most.
Why did the anime have to say POKE UH MON
>>28222733
>>ark-eus
That's literally how its pronounced. They changed it because "Arse-eus" sounded too much like the English word for "ass".
>>28224001
Arceus is too beautiful to have a hard sound
>>28224077
I mean I agree bro but that doesn't change what's true.

"pokey-mon" is how people say it when they want to appear like they never got into that silly kids' stuff

"Po-kay-mon" is how people say it when they want to sound like a pretentious know-it-all about that silly kids' stuff.
My point is that either is acceptable, and that both can be criticized for stupid reasons.

Πόkεμον.
>>28224339
Just got back from looking it up: not true.
>>28224814
That would make it "Pokèmon", though.
>>28224814
What the fuck? You think "Po-kay-mon" is the right pronunciation? And you're not even a burger?
Fucking hell, some languages orthography is so upfucked. Pokemon is Pokemon based on how the original Greek/Latin laters sounded like. It doesn't even need an autistic accent or a disambiguation. If you're not illiterate, you should know that ポケモン and Pokemon are a 1:1 match, and you should know how to call it.
It's not Po-keh-mon, it's not "Pokemon with e as in 'emerald'", and it's not "Po-ka-mon with a as in 'a'". It's just Pokemon, and you should know how to pronounce it if your intelligence is anywhere above a gorilla's intelligence.
