Unfezant Hyper Beam out of nowhere. Didn't even know he made it a special attacker. Donphan was my plan against aerodactyl AND gliscor. All I have in the box is Ninetales and Murkrow. I think Murkrow is my best option because of my ground/water problem, but do I search dust clouds endlessly for a dusk stone or do I just slap an eviolite on it? It's super luck.

Aron is probably the single best pokemon to fuck up Bugsy. And Bronzor is legit with Hypnosis/Calm Mind/Iron Defense and can solo Whitney.

Man what a battle, Whitney lead with Lickitung who I thought Shelly could handle but it knew a grass type move and put Shelly into medium HP range, I swapped out Shelly for Big Hoss and got a poison cloud off but then Lickitung bodyslammed and crit.

R.I.P. Big Hoss, She's in the big pawn shop in the sky now, along with her dad, her old man and her best friend, Everything there has a story and after 21 levels she won't ever know what's going through those shining gates.

So then I sent Rocko out for revenge and easily disposed of Lickitung. Lopunny was her next Pokemon and Rocko the madman tanked two double kicks without even entering the Medium HP zone but then she sends out Chansey. I got a rock smash off on Chansey then the bitch throws out an icebeam! I was expecting the worst but Rocko survived and I sent out Niko to deal with chansey. Once that Chansey was down I felt as if I had control of the battle. Lou took out Stantler and only got so low because of stomp, being bug type and all Lou is squishy.

Throughout the battle Whitney kept using attract as well but my loyal pokemon were able to fight off their hormones and put the bitches in their place, Out of 5 or 6 only one attack couldn't go through and that was one of Scamp's.

Yeah, that happend after bugsy almost wiped me, I was fearing the rival battle not knowing what level his pokemon would be and I ended up grinding too far before leaving Azalea town. Then I continued the fear of the gym with Whitney. It's safe to say that I was being too cautious. I'm gonna focus on Darkie and Shelly for Ecruteak and then if it's not already curved out by Ecruteak by the next city it will be. Oh well, Atleast for the next time I play storm silver/sacred gold I know I won't have to go this far for training.

Kill me lads. I started a randomized emerald locke and got my favorite pokemon as my starter, lugia. I then got a mewtwo right before the forest, for so to get a kingdra before first gym. Everything was going so fucking good. Then lugia died to a speed up incident. Then kingdra died to an explosion. I got mewtwo, but that's all I have.

Pre Saffron Nonsense Marathon:
Short update really just went around and cleared up the trainers on the sea routes and prepped Seafoam Islands boulder puzzle for easy access to first random legendary encounter.
After my Alteria died in Fuchsia , since some trainers are getting ridiculous mon replacements.I've already bumped into one with a Charizard and another with Milotic.

Then Gengar came out, I got one shock wave off on him before I had to recall him and let Luffy finish off Gengar with two flame wheels. Haunter was Morty's next pokemon and I recalled Luffy to send out Harvey. Haunter lead with a shadow ball which did no damage to Harvey, who then proceeded to Pluck Haunter to death (Couldn't switch out anyway; meanlook.) Misdrevious was next, I expected the meanlook from it but I did not expect the power gem which took out Harvey.

Oh boy what a fun slugfest that was, nearly lost Donphan like 3 times just clearing Silph co out.

First up though was Fighting Dojo:

As it turns out, Pokémon Fire Red is a VERY HARD game when you abide by a simple set of rules. Never in Omega did I come across such an unwinnable scenario.

Misty's Starmie totally raped my team. As in, RAPED.

It was a combination of terrible luck with the critical hits from her Pokémon, Water Pulse confusing Fearow and causing him to attack himself, and a series of bad switches that constantly put my Pokémon in awful position as opposed to just sacrificing one Pokémon. Terrible from beginning to end.

I literally returned to face her after the challenge was over, same Pokémon, same levels, same lineup, and Raticate singlehandedly defeated her:

- Critical Quick Attack against Staryu.
- Water Pulse from Starmie.
- Hyperfang.
- Quick Attack.
- Water Pulse from Starmie.
- Quick Attack.
- Cascade Badge.

There was one silver lining to this shitstorm though. A true bro has been discovered, and from a most unlikely place. Tristan, the one from whom I expected nothing, was the hero of the day. I sent him in to fight fire with fire against Masquerain with Minimize, and he singlehandedly took out both it and Leavanny. And on that topic, sidebar: Does Round secretly have a higher hit chance? Because by the time I had sent out Tristan he had at least three Double Teams up, and another by the time I had maxed his own evasion with Minimize, but Round never once missed.

As a last note, an extra special fuck you goes out to whoever thought it would be cool to give the third gym leader a Focus Sash/Counter combo. Crits happen, they suck but they're part of the game, but that shit just felt unfair. Aw well, them's the rules. Onwards, to wherever the fuck I go after this!

my gyarados had previously died due to some kitty thunderbolting him during Thrash and my sandslash died to a crit in the one hit KO room iirc

maybe with them i'd had more chances, but no luck, had to pick my two chumps training in the day care to occupy space and it didnt pay off

what romhacks should i use to nuzlocke the entire series up to X and Y? mostly stuff that unlocks all pokemon - unlock trade evolutions. i want to complete the pokedex after beating the game nuzlocke

I think you would have been fine with Golem honestly, depending on what it knows. But it happens man, you could try for HGSS if you don't mind the grind (which isn't bad once you get to Ecruteak with the Stantler, eventually you'll just overlevel pretty much everything and steamroll the game until mid-way through Kanto.

Randomizers are honestly your best bet in that case and even then you won't run into some Pokemon. Some are just going to be straight impossible for you to get as you get into the later gens just due to how the games themselves work and encourage trading and legendary exclusives and all that.

If you can only play on an emulator though I suggest this.

Nuzlocke Fire Red or Leaf Green.
Nuzlocke Heart Gold or Soul Silver.
Nuzlocke Platinum.
Nuzlocke Black or White.
Nuzlocke Black 2 or White 2.

I left out Gen 3 and 6 solely because of ORAS and X/Y which aren't emulatable, at least not on Citra they aren't. Though Emerald would be your bet for Gen 3 if you want to emulate it.

Just be aware that getting all the Pokemon might be impossible for some of the games. I don't suggest romhacks, because most are hard and your nuzlocke will be over fast, especially given what you've played and the changes to the games over the years.

They might, but I wouldn't know what those respective romhacks would be. As for Randomizers you don't have to change the movesets, just the Pokemon that appear, which is understandable since you haven't played them.

I still feel as though even with those romhacks, legendaries might be a problem for some of the games, but I could be completely wrong, maybe someone with better knowledge on all of the romhacks can chime in, so I apologize for not having knowledge on all of them.

So after grinding the Route 4 breeder for a bit (which was a nice surprise), I bit the bullet and fought Colress. Suprisingly he wasn't too difficult, Tristan's Minimize/Wish shenanigans were enough for most of the battle.

Things got a bit dicey when Porygon2 came in last and Traced Unaware off of Tristan, making all of my evasion meaningless. Louie managed to finish the job though and I was able to walk away with no casualties. And thank Arceus for that, I already only have half a team plus a boxed legenday I cant use.

Man, the hardest part of a run is deciding on my character's name. I just can't.

Just downloaded Blue on my 3ds and flippantly decided on a Nuzlocke run. First reply chooses starter and nickname.

My first, and last, attempt was on Pearl. Got to Volkner. I was training a Shellos outside the city to carry me through the gym since I had a Gyarados, Drifblim, and Electivire as my main party. A fucking Purrugly wiped my team. I put the game down and never went back. Pic related.

Stopping for the night, Just made it to the Desert Resort, luckily there's a nurse right at the entrance so not only can I start refilling my ranks but I can start training them too.

This whole Nuzlocke experience is actually pretty great. I decided to try it just as a challenging and fun thing to do to pass the time until S/M comes out, but I don't think I'll be stopping then. I' have never thought that someday a Clefable of all things would be my team's ace, yet here I am. See y'all tomorrow anons.

Clefable is great for nuzlockes. Typically Magic Guard is preferred to get rid of residual poison/sandstorm damage but Unaware is great for all those trainers who like to use Swords Dance/Calm Mind. You can Cosmic Power your defense and the only way they can counter is to lower it or to get a crit since they can't buff up alongside you.
Too bad there isn't a way to get Unaware+Battle Armor+Clear Body on one Pokemon

Brocks Vulpix in FRO is genuinely putting me off playing it. For one thing, he shouldn't have a fucking Vulpix.
It's 100% RNG if you just get fucking swept unless you pick Magby, then maybe 50/50 because you can at least absorb Ember with Flash Fire. Still might just hit yourself to death.
I have never seen it miss hypnosis in about 10 different runs. I think Dray gave Hypnosis 70% accuracy for some cunttatcular reason.

Fuck random Youngster, fuck his Reshiram and fuck Dragon rage. Well, I asked for it by not switching legendaries/DRage off and I only managed to sacrifice one guy I didn't want to keep in party, but that shit was still too OP.
still better than the first time when he literally used 4 dragon rages and swiped me, but i was saved by a based electricity shortage and needed to load an earlier save. Still had to go through this faggot though.
