Show some love for the most unappreciated stage of starter evolutions. Some are phoned in but they end up unappreciated either way.
Picture related, I've always loved this little fucker. I've always wished Charizard retained its color.

Not a starter, but I love this guy
This is what charizard should have been.Original art by tomycase
Fire steel with tough claws.Dragon Dance Flare Blitz Iron Head Earthquake woulda destroyed everything
130 attack and 100 speed. The rest could be 20 for all i care.

Most fire middle evos are top tier
Final evolutions on the other hand

I always liked Grovyle more than sceptile. sceptile's legs always seemed really stubby for something that was supposed to be fast.

Too bad Steel wasn't introduced until gen 2 then, eh underage?
so what?Make him pure fire then make him steel around gen 2.
Magnemite changed,why not shouldabeencharizard

I've always unironically like Marshtomp more than Swampert. I love the whole line but Marshtomp's goofiness just appealed to me so much more as a kid.

That looks like shit desu. Stop pushing this shit in every thread where the Charmander line is mentioned.
I like Frogadier wayyyy more than I like greninja.
>Quilava and Bayleef dope as shit
>Croconaw a good design but clashes with the design philosophy of Totodile and Feraligatr
On the whole 2nd gen was really great
somebody called?
Ivysaur desu, Venusaur is pretty ugly

Shitmons: the gen 2bh

gen 2 has the worst new Pokemon of any gen
and the smallest region
and the worst level scaling
and the worst pokemon distribution
and the weakest E4
It did a lot of good things but let's not pretend it doesn't have horrible gaping flaws.
>>28184408
The weird thing was the bad level scaling and weak E4 balanced out. Even consistently 10 levels under the E4 you could run roughshod over them
