If they really have ditched it, though, it's almost guaranteed to be in Sun and Moon, much like Thousand Arrows/Thousand Waves.

Zygarde forms were different in that matter. They were everywhere, promoted heavily since September 2015 so GF had to reveal them because people were very confused what is going on with them
