She claimed it's because she failed to connect to it, but if she had, then she should've realized that she was not the trainer that Suicune was looking for and it would've never been hers. Instead she gets it anyway, because apparently she WAS the trainer Suicune was looking for all along, so the entire revelation was utterly pointless.

Coupled with her entire soulless team already picked out and trained, she can't play off and connect to new Pokemon to reflect upon herself and grow, so she doesn't. She's a robot who only exists to fill the Pokedex.
