Grass/Water frogs. First stage is pretty much just a green frog, but it has a grassy patch on its "tail" region that mimics the real-world hairy frog. Catbud is more like an actual cactus, engorged in shape. Basically a cactus with a face and frog legs. The cactus in question is barrel cactus, with a cactus flower on top. Its final stage is a large, bulky frog sitting on its rump with cactus flowers on most of its body.

The idea behind the evolutions is that the Male one is huge and violent looking but kind and helpful. The female one is small and gentle looking but brings the tricks up to a new level and lures humans in to use elaborate traps on them. The males and females are constantly fighting to help or hurt humans. Looking for critique on designs and concepts.

I'm fine with how I drew them. I do think they need to be touched so I'll try and do what you suggested so I have better versions later.
Their names are Trolluh and Huldark.
Trolluh is Male only with Grasspelt/Huge Power and gains a grass typing, Gets powder moves, synthesis, solar beam, horn leech and wood hammer.
Huldark is Female Only with Cute Charm/Intimidate and switches it's main type.
Gets more dark moves like trick, flatter, foul play, and sucker punch.

Movepool: Because Atrapnid is so slow, I made Analytic its de facto ability. This would power up its moves. Along with Bug and Ground moves, it also learns a few poison and dark attacks. Most of its moves are centered around biting, earth, cutting, and trickery. It also learns a number of priority moves, highlighting its ability to strike quickly from underground.
