Make your gyms, describe what they would be like both in and outside of battles.
>>28149246
Not op, but here's another template if you think having 4 Pokemon as the 3rd gym leader is overkill
Both
And another one = Water gym. But I like my fire gym more.
This is the my! :*
Made this during after taking 2 adderalls a while back and ended up browsing vp instead of studying. Still aced the exam.
Took 1000 years inGIMPbut here you go. Didn't do moveset on final team cause too tired.
>>28150560
The fact that you have Hoopa on your team really russles my Jimmies. Why do you have a legendary in your team if your a gym leader?
decided to edit a small detail on partner pokemon, anyways this took longer than I thought.
>>28151103
desu I'm just glad the autist edgelord that made it didn't make every pokemon shiny.
>>28151103
>"what is le strongest ghost pokerman?"
>oh, hoopa? looks kewl
Made this for one of these threads a while back but didn't get to post it. Would've had a mega venusaur at the end but didn't have a sprite to match.
>>28151046
poison is the greatest type.
>>28151140
>>28151140
I like it, also I posted some gen 6 chibi sprites for you (And others, I'll post other generations upon request.)
>>28151171
Starts to get a bit edgy near the middle but then it rounds itself out.
>>28151151
Oh fuck thanks
>>28151233
No problemo
>>28151211
In all fairness, nearly all ghost Pokemon are edgy designwise.
>>28150621
This is well done, I like how there's some backstory on the signature and partner pokemon.
>>28151258
I know, I was just [Spoilers]making a pun though.[/Spoilers]
>>28151280Oooooohhhh
>>28151289
I done goofed. r8/h8 my psychic team up there.
>>28151171
damn fine taste right here
>>28151140
same here, not a big fan of the chibi art but great mons
>>28151106
good taste except for not picking superior Slowking
Slowbro still a cool though
>>28151686
I just have always had a love for slowbro is all. Side note, great taste besides the fact it's not really a gym, no TM/badge etc, but I get it, that shit is tedious if you just wanna throw something together to show your favorite pokemon of a specific typing.
>>28151903
eh, I like the simpler template more, I don't really like putting a TM because the one I want is either OP for early game or shit for late game, so I usually ditch that, and I can't draw badges for shit
and Slowbro is still fucking cool don't worry
Bug types is probably one of my favorites and something I could see myself starting a gym with, but admittedly it was kind of hard trying to find a balance for a proper team that doesn't border on really easy to either a bit overkill or having each team being all over the place.
While thinking up all the possibilities I could have for potential team members, I thought up of some info tidbits of what the gym/gym leader had:
General:
Highly-offense orientated. Known to often use held items to make the offense as strong as possible.
Is a relatively new gym (roughly 3~11 months of operation)
Beedrill was the leader's "starter" pokemon, caught and raised from just a little weedle when he was younger, as a lot of his friends were considered Bug Catchers
Scolipede was one of the many pokemon he also caught (as a Venipede) and raised over the years on his own acclaimed trainer journey. It is a bit spoiled, treated more like a pet when the leader was still trying out how to raise his own pokemon.
Badge 1-3:
TM - Bug Bite
Gym operated for ~3 months by now, still trying to get a hang of things
Venipede/Whirlipede and Kakuna were offsprings from their respective parents, raised to fit the early gym quotas
Badge 4-6:
TM - X-Scissor
Gym operated for ~7 months by now, signature Beedril is more told than shown as he tries to discover a secret potential
Badge 7-8:
TM - U-Turn
Gym operated for ~11 months, nearing a year by now. Rumored to have a very powerful pokemon by other trainers. Unleases the power of Mega Beedril in the fight.
I didn't really think much of the actual personality of the leader character because I'm not very good at that.
>>28152946
you could probably just put Beedrill in the first gym desu
Viola has a Vivillon after all
>>28151151
Could you post the rest of these please?
>>28152986
I actually kind of misinterpeted that part in the chart. 1 Badge is actually the first gym, then it goes down from there, but now in retrospect I kind of messed up the entire order of the thing. Oops. Also I guess that would mean that there's technically no input for an 8th gym
In my head I thought of the first slot of when the gym leader was meeting a relatively new trainer and if asked to fight against they'd just use this outside-gym team.
Fixing my laptop in the next few days, so I'll finally be able to make/upload pictures
Badge: The Fairytale Badge
Type: Fairy
Theme: Library
Team: Clefable (signature + partner, literal fairy), Klefki (keys for rare collection), Morelull (walking night + book light)
How it works: Prospective trainers have to solve to find which book belongs to which area in the gym. Each correct book corresponds to a genre, and a pokemon representing that genre. There are no gym trainers, just a totem mon.
Totems:
Mawile - Japanese Mythology
Ralts - Science Fiction
Swirlix - Cookbook
Spritzee - Makeup/Fashion
Florges - Gardening resource book
Post-game: I help the main character by doing some background research on the legendary pokemon for that region. I give him/her the rough location where they can find the legendary.
God this took me longer than I thought it would.
I'll write it out since I'm phone posting.

Ground type gym. Leader would be an Indiana Jones-style archeologist, and the gym itself would be based on sumerian ruins

Region? Besides, I just put them there because I like the designs, I could have easily swapped Arcanine and Houndoom with something else
>put smogonstove will make it better
Rotom-H is there to cover the ground weakness, there isn't a lot of fire type pokemon that can do that well.
>>28158205
I like the badge
Lead with Tentacruel, set up spikes, then attack. If 2+ mons are afflicted with a status, switch to Lapras, Heal bell, then switch back and keep fighting.
