Mega Mew works, so does Pikachu; they update Pikachu just about every time they put out new games, in some way or another. 100% Zygarde could likely work against Mega Rayquaza as a sort of check.

Why not? Maybe a Normal-type evolution, and then a Mega? Give it a broader movepool (the move types of each of its evolutions) when it evolves, then Magic Guard Mega.

There are a LOT of Pokemon I want Megas for. Dusknoir, Luxray, Sinnoh starters, Mamoswine, Crobat, Mightyena, Claydol, Bisharp, Krookodile, Leavanny, Pangoro, Malamar...that's just off the top of my head.

I really wanted Raichu to get a Mega, it could have used that stat boost.

The one I want the most is probably Crobat. A lot of people think there won't be anymore new Megas but I'm not so convinced. I don't think they would just stop having new ones without at least giving all the starters one. And that thing with Magearna seems to point to it getting a Mega so who knows at this point.

I don't think they're done with Megas, either, considering they've already promised future Mega starters. I see no reason why they wouldn't give anything else a Mega, as well. Plus, Mega type changes have altered metagame logistics significantly enough to warrant checks and balances in the form of new Megas. They'd be clinically retarded not to make new ones. They make money and people use them.

Mega Raichu was my first choice, before Alola form Raichu. A mega would be unlikely for it now. Otherwise, I'm 110% for it.
