8: Giovanni, who bring 8 Pokemon to the battle. Persian, Golem, Rhypherior, Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Hippowdon, Swampert, and Gliscor.

Gardenia/Erika double team. Erika has Parasect, Tangrowth, and Mega Venusaur, while Gardenia has Roserade, Torterra, and Lilligant. Erika shuts you down with Status, while Gardenia sets up and sweeps.
Grimsley, Karen, and Sidney triple-team
Grimsley has a fake-outing, U-turning Liepard, and a Bisharp. Karen has a Krookodile and an Umbreon. Sidney has Mega-Absol and Sharpedo.
Whitney: Bouffalant, Snorlax, Wigglytuff (that's Normal/Fairy, right?), Smeargle, Mega-Mom, Miltank. Bouffalant slows you with Bulldoze, then Smeargle gets in after it dies. It sleeps you, Shell Smashes, White Herbs the defense drops, then Passes to Miltank.
Lance/Clair double team. Clair gets Kingdra, Dragonite, and Dragonite. Lance gets Dragonite, Dragonite, and Mega-Salamence. Clair's Dragonite are more specially focused, while Lance's try to DDance, then press the Button.

First, fuck single-typed gyms. It's dumb and restricting, and only the types that have a lot of dual-typing are ever any good. So I'm just gonna use this thread to post this idea instead of just slapping my favorite gym leaders together.

Now get this- dual-typed gyms. Each gym leader leads in 2 types, and each Pokemon only needs to have one of the two. For example, an Electric-type gym could have Magnezone, Steelix, and Emolga, as they all fulfill either Electric, Steel, or both. Fuckin' cool, yeah? It inherently adds difficulty, no more bringing in one Pokemon that's going to one-shot the three assholes that are two levels below it. Of course, you can still just switch in fights, but whatever, it's still way fuckin' cool.
