There could be for example Arcanine by the volcano and by hot springs in entirely different islands. Having seen it in the trailer and on the official site proves just as much as a text-based leak on /vp/.

The art leak is fake, and not because of some convoluted pattern breaking. It's fake because the faggot that did it is just some /vp/ drawfag. Way back when people were still shitposting about roothoot, this same anon showed up and did a series of fakemon request threads. The general theme was request a Pokemon idea you'd like to see in SM and he'd draw it for you. It didn't take long for OP to get in over his head and abandon ship. Anons kept bumping the thread in hopes that OP would deliver, but no dice. Then this happened. It's definitely the same artist. The chances that that anon randomly had GF connections and got to see unrevealed Pokemon is retardedly small. I think the discrepancy is just because OP was cranking out totally original mons based on vague requests and pretty high frequency. The artleaka stuff is mostly based on official designs which probably grounded the artists style a bit. Also, with these new leaks, OP seems to have just doodled some of them. Honestly what gave it away was that OP image from day 2. Everything about the way OP conducted that thread was the same as before, except with added role playing

These look great! Where did you find them?

While I don't believe the Artleaka leak for a second, the examples you picked were fucking terrible. Compared to say, Croconaw -> Feraligatr, I can easily believe Rowlet2 and Popplio2 are "bridge, but a bit different".

Litten2 is a BIT too close, but who knows. I think there's a lot of better reasons the leak is fake (for example, Alola Arcanine). Then again, the designs are pretty well-realized, especially for a fakemon artist.

When I first saw Archowl, Luchalitten, and Poppmaid, I knew literally right then that they were real. They clicked as real to me. I have messages with my friends from June 4th where I excitedly sent them the leaks because I knew they had to be real. These though? I dunno. They don't strike me as true.

The first form is tricky, but I can imagine Ghost/Flying for the 2nd form. Flying because Ghost ships don't have to be waterborn or anything, plus it incorporates the sail element (flying is associated with wind). Ghost because Ghost ship.
