Ehhhhh I've considered it, also tried Empoleon out because I really wanted a 3rd Steel type but wanted something not weak to Fire. Considered Heatproof Bronzong too but I wanted to avoid another mon weak to Dark/Ghost.

Eventually I just fell back to my bro Steelix because everything else left me underwhelmed. At least he looks cool, but I am hoping Gen 7 gives me a new Steel type to fall in love with.

That's the point, Drapion is still a "Bug" but brings an interesting twist. I could go with Flygon as well if I wanted to. Both are in the Bug egg group and learn a decent amount of Bug-type moves.

I've cleared Black and White 2 with Scolipede, so I'd swap Drapion with Escavalier if I had to use a 6th true Bug-type.

Infernape is a solid fire attacker with a built it secondary to hedge against one of fire's type vulnerabilities as well as the offensive potential a fightin type brings on its own.
Greninja is Uber ranked as well as arguably the best of his class of starters, a solid water type and offers back up against ghost types.
Gardevoir is one fighter killer, a dragon killer as well as Dark killer, and even has a Grass special for when that is occasionally useful.
Excadrill is OU, brings Ground, rock, and steel type attacks, and is fast as hell.
Noivern is admittedly especially vulnerable to Ice, but when tactically used, brings the ruckus to a fight. Besides being the backup for a lot of what Gardevoir handles, it also covers a jack of all bases otherwise not covered, and brings the offensive strength Dragon types also do.

Now you can shit on my team all you want. Maybe you tried them and had bad luck. I however have used each of them in more than one game and found them exceptional as part of a team when used effectively. Maybe that was something you couldn't do. I don't know how you're having better luck with the team you posted, but to each their own. Wanna shit on the starters because everyone on /vp/ has subjectively determined good and bad starters? Wanna shit on Gardevoir because some anons like him a bit more than they should? Wanna shit on Excadrill or Noivern because a lot of other people like them because they are good and you wanna be contrarian? Go for all of it, pham. Just don't expect me think your opinion holds a drop of consideration worthiness. In my book, they have the in game performance, individual good designs and complimenary good designs and SWOT blend that work well with one another as a team, and frankly that counts more to me than the opinion of a guy who resorts to 0/100 ratings.

My current team from my autistic headcanon fanfic world.
Venusaur is kind of derpy but always gets the job done. True bro.
Electivire is a trickster and likes to eat and slack of, but is quite the powerhouse when he gets motivated.
Hawlucha is somewhat of an attention seeker and performs best if he has an audience. Has a strong sense of justice.
Corphish loves to battle and is always in a hurry. Can't sit still and often picks fights. Gets along well with Hawlucha.
Talonflame looks out for the other team members like an older sibling.
Armaldo is very friendly and a bit naive, which often causes trouble despite his good intentions.

Did em on my own, just copy/pasted the assets off the site, did some trainer splicing and then collaged them together and put them on the card.

Not hard really, most of the work is in the trainer sprites, And I already had the concepts for a while, I just haven't had the chance to make em.

It's also been something I've done for years, so... I'm honestly rusty after like a 4 year gap.
