How do we make a Mega Delcatty that will make it top-tier in battle?

Shouldn't it live up to the other Pokemon that holds the title of Δ?

Give it an ability called 'Normal Field' or whatever that makes all the opponent's moves normal. Now Delcatty effectively has no weaknesses (unless it's against a Mold Breaker Sawk or something) and most opposing pokemon lose their STAB.

It can get some buffs in speed and defences as well.

You could also make it part Fairy but that's the easy way out.

I don't think Delcatty can hold a thread all on its own.

Delcatty has the 9th lowest BST of any fully evolved pokemon, tying with Corsola, Mawile, and Sableye.

Delcatty could also possibly get Fur Coat or Adaptability based on its PokeDex entries - kind of a stretch, but who knows!

Delcatty can only be found in the wild in White 2! Its Black 2 counterpart is the Lopunny line!

It is surprisingly hard to find good Delcatty art! Maybe Skitty just hogs it all.

Delcatty and Skitty are the only pokemon to get Normalize - a unique ability that makes all your attacks Normal-type! It can be useful when paired up with interesting moves like Assist, Thunder-Wave, or Copycat!

Delcatty does not learn any moves because it's a stone evolution. Skitty already learns all the moves it gets from the start so you can hold off evolving Skitty as long as you want!

Delcatty gets Cosmic Power from breeding with Clefairy! Perhaps they might be from space? They do have that Moon Stone connection...

Delcatty should get an evolution. It would be unique because it would be the only pokemon that evolved with a stone, then can evolve again. Plus it could help patch that terrible BST, like damn. 380 is awful. Electabuzz is better than that.

Maybe it's a rule that stone evolutions can't evolve anymore. Also, I think Delcatty's purposely not supposed to be great in-battle, it's supposed to be more of a contest pokemon or something like that.

Dang, that fact is a lot more fun than mine.

I meant more that Delcatty isn't really meant for battling, it seems more like a relaxed, domesticated pokemon that people use as pets. Normalize kind of reflects this although I wish it were a little better of an ability. Somebody else suggested it could give the 30% boost but I think Delcatty wouldn't hit very hard regardless.

Delcatty is the designated Cute pokemon, like how Milotic is the designated Beautiful pokemon, and Swellow for Cool, Aggron for Tough, and Gardevoir for Smart.
