Is Dragon Claw Dragonite really better than Hyper Beam?

I haven't tried the latter because I trusted the sites that recommended DC as the best attacker but every time I use it against say, a Snorlax, the damage DC does seems puny.

I have one of each with similar IVs, but can only power up one.

Do lures work off of their own separate spawn rates, or do they just multiply the spawn rates that already exist around a stop? Like, if I used one at a place that constantly has 0 sightings, will it actually spawn Pokemon, or just be a waste of 30 minutes?

If you use a lure in a place with normally 0 spawns, you'll get the same number of encounters from it had you used it in a busy area. The Pokemon you'll encounter will be pretty random, I've seen it suggested that you're more likely to get rare Pokemon that way.

The only thing that affects the number of Pokemon you encounter with a lure is if you're moving or not. Walking lets you find more Pokemon with it than without walking.

I know the data shows it's stronger but I don't know, my point of comparison is when I'm battling a Hyper Beam Snorlax, my Dragon Claw does about the same amount as three Dragon Breath and in return, his Hyperbeam does 1/3 of damage to my Dragonite.

It just "feels" weaker but I like how it takes next to nothing to power up. Also the 35 damage seems awfully misleading when compared to hyper's 120.

Why in the absolute got damned fuck does every single bulbasaur and squirtle I catch suck absolute fucking balls? Seriously, every single one of them has absolute garbage IVs. I even caught a wild fucking blastoise and HOLY SHIT, ITS IVS WERE garbage.

Yes, HP matters a fuckton and it makes Starmie a poor defender.
It seems pretty good as an offender though so long as you go for resisting attacks and learn how to dodge.

I work in a place that has extremely high cell phone activity but no Pokestops or gyms within a 10 mile radius somehow and I can confirm;
Before around 7-8pm, pidgeys and rattatas for DAYS. Literally 3 or 4 can spawn in a single search area at a time, and I mean 3 or 4 pidgeys AND multiple rats. At the same time.

For me, my Water types always have ideal movesets and my Fire types always get semi cucked. Farmed enough Charmander candy for 2 Charizard with the second one getting Wing Attack/Flamethrower, its 2nd best offensive moveset. Arcanine? Bite/Flamethrower.

Where ever I have found Magikarp spawns I have also seen dratini, not in massive nest like amounts, but enough to have a dragonaire after only 1 egg hatch and 33 candies to spare.

Farming water routes is my favourite thing to do, seeing as so many of them are useful and how rare grass types are here you only have to deal with electabuzz and jolteon attackers.
