I use both. I like the free one for keeping items. I like the paid one for the free events, and the ability to move multiples at once. A feature I wish either had is releasing or releasing multiples.

I have both and I prefer PHBank because it doesn't require internet to access and shows numbered IVs and EVs. I can also backup my boxes but on Official Bank if the servers shit themselves you will lose your pokemon permanently. Only problem I have with PHBank is that it doesn't show genders.

Well I finally installed homebrew and genned up some pokemon using pkhex for the first time, and when I used them it completely cheapened my experience to the point I lost interest. So with the advent of bottle caps I have no reason to use non legit programs for pokemon anymore.

There just hasn't been interest to make a homebrew that does this without a PC, but it's pretty easy.

You can just export your DS game save with TWLSaveTool or FBI and open it with the latest PKHeX. Even before PKHeX read DS saves you could just open with Pokegen instead and drag to PKHeX, it simulates a transfer.
