Amnicrypha: the Oblivion Pokemon
Appearance: Amnicrypha looks like it is entirelly made out of fire. Its front half looks like that of a ram, but with four horns and no facial features, and clawed feet instead of hooves. While it has a front half, with legs, a head, and a torso, it has no backside, the rest of its flamelike body gradually fading into nothingness. It is genrally seen floating, but will ocasionally go on the ground, standing with only two legs. It is white when shiny.
Lore: Amnicrypha was a spirit created by psychics from a now extinct civilization. It is said to have the ability to snatch any knowledge out of the head of people, as well as nullify thoughts before they can even be formed. Several times throughout history, Amnicrypha has destroyed places of knowledge such as libraries. While it generally has an antagonistic role in myths and folklore, some see a more positive side to it, as a guardian of humanity that destroys dangerous knowledge before it falls into the hands of individuals who would abuse it.

Stats: 130/95/145/100/125/85 (total:680)
Ability: Oubliette: While Amnicrypha is on the battlefield, ennemy pokemon will be unable to use one of their moves, chosen at random. Does not apply if the enemmy only knows one move.
Signature moves:
Thought eater: PP 5. Psychic type. Peering into the mind of the opponent, Amnicrypha will steal the pokemon's intent when they decide their next action. This will cause the target's next move to fail.
Cleanse: PP 10. Fire type. Special. Amnicrypha sends out a pulse of fire that purifies the battlefield. Deals 50 base damage to all pokemon, and resets the battlefield. Any entry hazard, weather effects, stat changes, status effects, incoming moves (future sight), and other effects (trick room) will be nullified.

To the causal observer, Dugpug with it's short limbs and fat body seems like a clumsy pokemon. However this pokemon can travel at frightening speeds by spinning like a drill over the ground. Dugpug is able to do this due to it's special saliva that it constantly is licking onto it's coat.

The constant spinning leaves a sort of rifling pattern in it's fur that no matter how hard they try trainers can't brush out. While some find them cute when taken in as house pets they often leave the owners yard a hole filled shamble.

It's ability is facsimilate
Which causes it to copy the opponent's Pokemon down to its hold item. It's ability then changes to:
Unfinished- the Pokemon gets stab for any move used even without sharing a type, the first time the move is used. Once the move works for the first time STAB is lost even if it shares a type.

Basically after years of whoring out a ditto the unloved chunk of data. At zero friendship it evolves into facsim and it has lost some of its power from evolving. It no longer forms itself into the Pokemon its copying, but merely adds the traits to itself, transforming parts of itself to use the moves it copied. The tubes connect in its back which helps it keep its form. Without which the facsim would die, unable to hold any form.

As another anon said, get rid of the chubby cheeks on the final evo, and the equally round/chubby-looking frown gesture doesn't help. ditto evolution, five minutes in paint.

Ditto + Shiny stone = Fascimirror

it's pretty much a blob of Dittos that became a mirror. Gameplay-wise it's a Ditto with better stats and the ability to fight without having to transform.

The name was a toss-up between Chimirror (a blob of dittos and any mimicked moves would just be grafted on) and Fascimirror.

The coloured symbols on its front are sensory organs. When their colour fades and the central symbol lights up, it is a sign Senbol is supressing most of its senses to greatly enhance the remaining one.

I did consider making it an evolution line that gains symbols as it evolves, but then I wasn't sure what to do with the rest of its body other than "it gets bigger"

I like them, don't get me wrong, but they don't have the raw charisma needed for starters. The Fire and Grass first stages don't look like anything recognizable. I think they'd be fine for later in the Dex, but starters they are not.

Alright, here's version 2. The new final form is much closer to the typical djinn/genie look. I tried to give it some monstrous elements since djinns/ifrits are often shown as almost oni-like, so I added the nose. I wanted to add maybe pointy demon ears or something but the head is already crowded enough as it is. It might still be a bit too human-like for some of you. Any pointers?
Also, any name suggestions are welcome, I'm horrible at those.

If you want one small bit of constructive criticism I'll offer this: think of how multiple pokémon lines that "gain" more heads work. It usually starts as one then gains an addition. Think Koffing and its head. While I seriously love these, I think the first stage might be better suited with one owl head and then two in its second stage. Regardless, cool stuff.

Cheshadow, the Cheshire Cat Pokemon.
Normal/Ghost. While completely ordinary looking at first glance, Cheshadow's ghostly nature becomes quickly apparent by paying attention to it's shadow, which might more accurately be referred to as the 'true' Cheshadow. Cheshadow have been known to use their innocuous appearance to play pranks on travellers, such as spinning sign around before people get to them or erasing footprints as people walk so they forget where they've been. However annoying these practical jokes are, they never amount to any serious harm.

Based on the Cheshire Cat (naturally) as well as how supernatural creatures can usually be discerned by their shadows/reflections etc. Kitsune for instance can appear as beautiful men/women but their shadow is still a fox, that kind of thing. Normal/Ghost because that's a neat typing defensively imo; weak only to dark or to scrappy fighting moves, and immune to normal/fighting/ghost.

... Pyukumuku showed up while I was still between tablets, so I figured it was safer to put the focus on its driftwood shield/mask/whatever instead of its body.

The basic stage's shoulders look awkward standing upright, so to be honest I just stole Zoroark's chest fluff to avoid having to figure out how to fix the problem.
I guess I should learn to draw Zoroark correctly, first.
