I just miss shitting up the GTS with Magnemites.

it was fun

I miss funfest missions
I miss pokestar studios and that special shine for movie star pokemon
I miss black tower
I miss PWT
I miss the half priced BP items
I miss challenge mode
I miss the seasonal changes...tho a week would be better than a month

Same anon, I had all my stores @ Lv. 10 and my Avenue's ranking @ around 50. I even got the Nursery to easily hatch my eggs.
I loved the daily features of buying Elixirs, PP Ups and Rare berries you can't find anywhere else. Even buying those rocks to find hidden treasures inside and grooming my Pokemon.
Idk why GameFreak removed this feature when it could've benefited so much with the introduction of Wonder Trading

i miss the first time of walking on the "shit-my-pants 3D bridge" towards castelia city, and holy fuck the 3D roundabout walk around castelia city. also wowed the part where people talk as they walk. sure the DS was already a 64-bit handheld and had other great features, but still it was more impressive than what XY did since the whole thing was in 3D anyway

I don't know why, but at the time they were announced, these games felt 'modern' and 'cool' in a sense that you wouldn't immediately associate them with Pokemon at first. It had a sort of TWEWY vibe. Could've just been my autism though

Gen V tried to be as refreshing as possible because during gen IV it was common to hear normies and gamers in general saying Pokémon had become stale and it was a rehash and always the same.
So they went all out with new stuff and content.

That was a pretty cool feature, I would love to have it back as long as it remains a sidequest or you can choose somehow if you want romance or not in the game. I just didn't like how the NPCs tried to ship me with Brendan in ORAS.

It was to do with the fact that you could easily cause Magnemite to have a very high encounter rate, very early in the game without having to search for any other Pokemon or items.

Since Mags have the ability Magnet Pull, which attracts other steel-types in the field, once you've hunted around a bit to grab one it's very simple to get others. Since they appear frequently anyway in Virbank (second gym city) you can just easily catch loads even if you have access to nothing else.

As for why trading Magnemites helps at all, each Mag you trade gives you another unique ID, and the more you have the more Join Avenue grows. Once the Magnemite meme had built up online, people knew to look for Magnemite if they wanted to level up their Avenue, and there was a healthy supply of them on the GTS to choose from.
