Have you never seen them animated. They're like mini beetles as shown in >>28097656 but just look like football tumors. Beetle guns are cooler than Pop Eye guns.

I think it looks fine.

The pink lines are terrible and just looks like some Dragonball Namekian shit. The light yellow back looks weak and spongy compared to the hard shiny blue carapace, it's dumb for a Beetle to have a vulnerable looking back so scrap that. The belly vent is just a random and unnecessary element which just give the impression of a designer who just wanted to add more shit for the sake of it. Having both the gun hands and mega horn confuse the design, it is supposed to be an accurate ranged attacker or melee gore machine? I like the concept a lot but there's just too much going on.

To fix it first I'd remove the completely pointless elements that don't add to the design such as the yellow back, pink bits and belly vent. Then i'd maybe rework it so that it still has the horn, but the gun concept gets worked into the horn rather than being in the hands and have the hands stabilize himself on the ground. Make him like a little turret with a horn gun.

If by "weird" you mean "shitty", than sure. You don't have to suck Game Freak's dick anon, it's okay to admit when they fail to execute a concept properly. They managed to pull off the "bug => mecha" concept far better with Mega Scizor. If they were going to give M-Heracross vents, they should have been on the back under the elytra so that after attacking they could raise up and vent out the steam. Or hell, put them on the sides or something. The placement is just flat out bad, and your whining won't change that.

I agree, but it's a Hercules beetle; Pinsir is the stag beetle. Please don't hate me :(

Also, Heracross as a Hercules beetle is the greatest thing ever made. See, the Hercules beetle is the strongest animal in the world, able to lift 850 times its own weight. And Mega Heracross' base Attack stat is 185! I don't know if this is the reason why, but the coincidence is too strong to pass up.

Ah yes, the forearms. Yeah, they're supposed to be guns. If you see Mega Heracross in the anime or some form of artwork, you can see that the shell opens up, revealing holes. This is why it gets Skill Link: so it can shoot things rapidly out of its holes like a gun does. Regular Heracross was given Pin Missile, Rock Blast, and Bullet Seed just for its Mega. And Skill Link really is amazing for it.
