Dawn won't be replaced because she's popular, what with being in the anime and all. Nobody gave a shit about Crystal and honestly Lyra is a much better design.

Crystal never had a real fanbase like the others girls, that's the only reason she could be replace

I like this idea of a fourth game with arceus as the focus, it can open up some new interesting mechanics like giratina did with the distorsion world.

May stayed in ORAS, and the unused female character for RGB showed up in FRLG.

The evolutions depend on the generation that introduces them, not on the remakes.
An Arceus form through mega or whatever is given just like for the rest of the Sinnoh legendaries, especially when they do already own signature items that can be easily converted.
Why wouldn't you want a Regigigas buff instead for fucks sake?

Also what you have suggested is an actual remake, see ORAS, HGSS, Emerald or Platinum, all have given new forms and similar changes. You can do remakes with minor changes but they are still a revisitation of said region and gen.

Seems really pointless to have two religious cults going after one another, unless you're going full blown "religious satire", which for Pokémon is a very dumb move.

-Maybe- if Gamefreak or Nintendo would be willing to reach a broader market, but no, their goal is to generally make the Pokémon franchise as benign and inoffensive as they possibly can.

Replacing Dawn and Lucas would probably be a given if we're talking a sequel-style game like BW2, though not exactly a certainty.

It could definitely be an interesting concept, and Arceus is certainly one of those pokémon you wonder why it hasn't been given the importance its role in the canon seems to demand.
