HTC Desire is an ancient phone, but fuck if it doesn't still have the best screen I've ever experienced in a phone colours-wise. I upgraded years ago to very high-end devices, but resolution-aside Desire still produces the best picture. iPhone's screen looks pretty shit in comparison.

I started playing Volt White on Drastic but it made me want to finish vanilla White on my actual DS so I'm doing that right now. I'll definitely return back to it after though, great romhack, doesn't change the story or put anything dumb in but also makes some neat changes like making my bro Butterfree a bit more usable, for example.

Definitely Blaze Black/Volt White 1 & 2, they make it a tad more difficult and not shoehorn in any fakemons or edgy story, just the originals with a better variety of Pokemon to catch and the AI is better with different Pokemon. I think the creator, Drayano, made some other hacks too like Scared Gold, haven't played those though.

GBA: My Boy, you can get a free version or a cheapish paid version that supports cheats, linking with yourself to basically trade Pokemon between yourself and also with other people with Bluetooth, and really fast fast-forward

GBC: My Old Boy, same deal as My Boy

DS: DraStic, it's paid, but it's probably one of if not the best DS emulator on the play store, runs games well, fast forward, cheats and cheat database, save states, etc. No trading or running two games at once though.

Oh shit sorry, I'm retarded and read it wrong. In terms of ROMs though, there isn't really a difference. I'm pretty sure most sites have the same ROM uploaded anyway, and the first few sites that come up when you search "Pokemon (version) ROM" should be alright, as that's what I did with mine and it turned out fine. The ROM ran fine and I was able to apply a ROM hack to it when needed, no problem at all.

On a related topic, i just realized that the only real problems with HGSS are the level curve and the stones, since the safari zone has most mons that you could only get postgame in GS (like misdreavus) and while stones are still a pain in the ass, you can get them without the stupid npc calls. Also little things like 4 gen evos being available is a nice touch. Overall the best remakes.

You can play all Pokemon Games from the DS on your Phone just fine. If you want to play the 3DS Games you can buy a 2DS but XY and ORAS are pretty shitty so you aren't missing much. SM looks cool tho

yeah, some improve the existing games by unlocking more pokemon earlier on and increasing the difficulty (like Dray's hacks) and some create their own region, sometimes with their own fakemon (although I'm not a big fan of those so I can't really comment on them without being biased)

I hear Cyanogenmod is good but I'm not a techwiz so idk for sure (I haven't even overclocked my 3yo galaxy S4, my battery is shit now so I can't imagine how fast it would die if I did)

not really sure about the difference in difficulty, I haven't played BW since they came out (wasn't a big fan of Unova but I still love a lot of gen5 pokemon, Pokemon Conquest is my shit)

Trainers have bigger/better teams, idk if the AI has been tweaked

What I like most is the variety of wild mons you get in Drayano hacks
