Most of DP's actual issues are engine problems, so those will likely all be fine solely from virtue of being a remake. And I personally don't care about most of Platinum's additions and actually prefer the team lineups many opponents have and how the story went in DP.

However, HGSS failed to consider the superior Crystal encounter tables whatsoever, so it's entirely possible they'll fuck up on implementing the superior Platinum regional dex, which would definitely be an issue.

No matter how bad they end up being they will still be better that that half assed ruby and sapphire remakes. Still better than the original ruby and sapphire, because for some reason even through the original diamond and pearl were slow I would those games instead of surfing in horny; god that's fucking horrible. They will be better than the red and green remakes because the story is those games is the most plain of all games and its the region with pokemon I dislike the most. That doesn't mean it doesn't have any good ones some of my favorite are from gen 1 like arcanine, charizard ,mewtwo, noodling and some other ones.And finally they will easily be better than than the original piece of shit that made me start playing pokemon game red and blue. Yeah, this is true. There were some elements of ORAS that were quite good (reworking Team Aqua/Magma to be less stupid and more engaging, giving Steven a clearer role, the vastly improved Pokenav functions), if you combined those with the good elements of Emerald I think they would have stood a shot at being the best Pokemon games yet.

I would prefer if they did something more like Platinum, Cyrus summons both Dragons, Giratina appears and pulls them both into the distortion world, defeating Giratina-O will break open an exit and the other dragons flee, the other one will flee across time/space while your versions one will shatter the distortion.

Later after you catch your dragon on Spear Pillar in the post game, you can take it to Turnback cave were you can use it to reopen the Distortion World allowing you to capture Giratina-A.

There, it now has a more Platinum inspired story while still sticking to your versions legend. Maybe some thing about new formes with their orbs like Giratina has.
