Usually never name my pokes. But what are some good names you've named pokes to make them feel more unique.
Golurk - Colossi or Gaius (the 3rd Colossi from Shadow of the Colossus)
Any Pokemon with the ability Run Away gets named Dad.
The only remotely witty nickname I've ever given a Pokemon is an Aegislash called Hexcalibur, and even then I stole it from someone else so it's not even my attempts at being creative. I'm planning on calling a Mimikyuu "Pikaboo" should I use one in S&M, and I'm waiting impatiently on a Steel-type turtle so I can call it Turtanium. My general rule is if I can come up with a name that might have in another reality have been used for the actual species name, so they tend to mix elements of the Pokemon's inspiration with its typing or some other important aspect of it.

I actually like that aeigislash name haha.
I always name a marill, Pikablu. No matter what.
I named my Golurk "Hammy".
Hammy is a friend to all.

I like Durandal for Aegislash, mostly because I remember it being Eliwood's big ass sword in Fire Emblem.
Some of these are from my AS run, but...
I did Armorleg as a joke for Skarmory, but I'm actually really liking it now.
Chivalry for Braviary.
Fuji for Camerupt.
Lu-Gi-Oh! for Lugia, obv.
Medusa for Seviper.
And Trambo for Sceptile. I started plugging in random letters and Trambo was born.
I really like punny names if I can make it happen.
I have a Kecleon and Clefable on my doubles team named Cosmo and Wanda
I named my fennekin Finn, squirtle named Quintus, and a pidgey Ventus. They all died when I forgot to transfer them to the pokebank when I reset to do a speed run.
My Primeape is named Clay
I named my mudkip Larry.
