Seriously why isn't anyone hype for the SM Anime? Alola looks comfy as fuck, we'll see new forms of Pokemon from Kanto (Ash reaction will be priceless), 4 islands what means different enviroments and more variation, New weird Pokemon, the bad guys are a bunch of dorks who make silly dances(Which means more comedy), Animation as good or better than XY(The battles will look awesome), New Alola Rotom Pokedex(Oak wil maybe give Rotom to Ash) who can talk and that means even more comedy and possibilities, funny looking NPC's, Captains instead of Gyms(We'll finally see new things in the Anime after 20 years), tasks and quests from NPC's, Z Moves which will make the battles more exciting. In my head this is setting Ash up in the mentor position for the companion character which would require he be a decent trainer at a minimum from the beginning. Also, we're talking starting town trainers getting beat and calling him strong, big fish in a small pond and all. I watched the anime consistently from kanto through the end of DP because the show gradually improved every saga and did things I liked. I only watched through all of Johto because I was a young kid at the time and had nothing better to do than watch pokemon.

AG and DP did a lot of things I liked so I kept watching for that reason. I stopped around 20 episodes into BW. I only came back for XY because I heard how good it was.

Honestly at this point there's no further reason. I already intended to stop after DP, but this time will probably be in it.
