Whats /vp/'s opinion on z moves?

Not really a great fan of the idea, but I wasn't of megas either, so I'll just get used to them.
My only curiosity is if they'll be compatible with mega evo and if they require some specific item on the pokemon (unless I'm forgetting something).

They're the feature I like the least. Megas were pretty broken ingame, but a mega using a z move will be even worse.

these type of moves are too strong for competitive battles.

I guess it's fine, maybe some random shitmon that wouldn't have gotten a mega in 100 years can now run a z-set or something.

More options are always welcome.

We are basically getting 18 super powerful moves one for each type that require to burn the held item to work.
So nothing too broken and thay feel like normal moves to me bar the dancing animation
Also why is knock off being nerfed again?

If they're a one time use, I don't think it'll be worth it, unless you put it on a fast Moxiemon, blow up whatever pokemon your opponent throws out with your new 250BP OHKO move, then prepare to sweep. But thats the only situation where I can see these things being better than Choice items/Leftovers.

Also, I don't think its been released if Zmoves are Special or Physical or Both(cause fuck logic), so they'll probably only benefit a select number of pokemon.

I'd prefer it if both Megas and ZMoves were restricted to story mode only. But its not happening.

i hate it because its a gimmicky thing that you are required to have on your team to stay competitive.
the same argument could be made for megas aswell but megas atleast give you some direction in teambuilding, a clear win condition in battles and it revives a bunch of older useless pokemon.
