He's a game dev who got the world excited for his infinite space travel game, but it turned out to be a joke.
The game was advertised as being multiplayer but data miners have already revealed that no multiplayer data was coded into the game. But they can't take him to court for false advertising because the only way to prove this would be to break IP laws.

All you do is land on a planet, mine for fuel, then fly to the next planet. If it had any less content, it would be a collection of shuffling pictures.

Man i knew the game was going to flop, all the trailers i saw he literally just advertised it as a tourism simulator but somehow people hyped it out of proportion
The only thing i hope that comes out of this is a proper sand-box game in space
Something like you start in a planet with nothing and then start building tools and shelter, hunting animals and shit like that then start finding more 'alien blueprints' build a makeshift ship and get into space and colonize other planets eventually building better/bigger ships
I'd love a game like this even if it had Minecraft-tier graphics since i love the concept of space travel

Sounds like Spore a little bit.
>start off as a microorganism eventually evolving into a monster/animal thing that can build cities
>go to space and find other planets you can take over and terraform
>>28004650
I'll look into it
I never got too much into spore since i had the idea it was a pet simulator.

Didn't starbound do that?
And Ark is halfway that, but with dines as the indigenous fauna and no leaving the planet.
Lastly, you could just play modded minecraft. Galacticraft and Mystcraft do a good combined job of simulating what you want.
