Dragon, I just love their design and how the type hits and takes hits neutrally on nearly everything. Only problem I have is that they're pretty rare and are powerful so sadly I only end up with them at the end of my game. Water, Psychic, Fighting, and Fire are my next favorites so at least I get to use those.

See Dark is a misunderstood typing, it's not about edge or depression, its about being somber and reserved. It's clever, witty, and practical, although not as intellectually smart as say a Psychic type, however, they are quick to see through the lies and manipulation and thus are immune to it. They don't like to fight, thus we are weak to it. They're other weaknesses are bug, which represents the little things in life that build up over time, and fairy which represents those who choose to live in blissful ignorance in life. Dark also does more damage and resists Ghost, due to its ability to see through mysticism and illusions.
