Posted this in the other thread, but I'll post here.

I ended up swapping out Bounsweet and Mudbray for Morelull and Salandit. Fire is a great type and I want one for this team. This will probably change again when more evolutions and Pokemon are revealed.

What makes you think that a Kanto Pikachu and Kanto Cubone would evolve into Alolan Raichu and Alolan Marowak? Because they won't. You'll only get Alolan Marowak and Alolan Raichu from Alolan Cubone and Alolan Pikachu. Just like thr Alolan Vulpix and Sanshrew. Fucking obviously

In the Japanese trailer, it was shown that a normal Cubone and Pikachu will evolve into Alolan Raichu and Marowak.

Alolan Marowak on the website also mentions that Cubone live close to their parents because of the harsh environment, implying that there is no Alolan Cubone.

They didn't show Alolan Cubone/Pikachu/Exeggcute, just UNlike Vulpix and Sanshrew.

In fact they even showed a Cubone and a Pikachu evolving into Alolan formes. And the official website even says that Cubone doesn't need to adapt thenks to their parents.

I might box rowlett.

I suspect Drampa, pyukumuku, Salamandit, and Crabrawler won't be available too early in the game, so my team might adjust if say, Rockruff can hold his own.

Moewth might also be cool. I want exxegutor but I know he'll be locked behind a Leafstone by the third or fourth island or some bullshit.

I would be pleasantly surprised if Komala, Pikipek, Gumshoos and Cutiefly turn out to be worthwhile.

Late game will be a different story obviously.
