It's amazing but in one of her first eps in S1 Ran competes for the 'best idol in the grade' title pretty much (and ties with Hikari, who kept winning for a couple of years too) but by S1 she's retconned into being a shit idol who can't even break into top 10 of the Aikatsu rankings.
Ran got shafted bad.

That being said Yurika should've been the Starlight Queen back then, being a member of Tristar and whatnot. Even if she was picked by Mizuki with no audition for a bullshit reason (Mizuki was just staring at her ass).
