Nidoking's one of my top three favorites from Gen 1 (beat only by Lapras and Ninetales). I always love turning him into a special sweeper with his surprising sp. attack (not saying it's good but it's higher than it probably should be) and good move pool.

Game Freak can make terrible decisions all day long and there will always be some fuck on /vp/ who thinks that he's obligated to defend it. Very few game companies are held in this regard.

People think Charizard is a bad design. It is objectively not a bad design. It is, at worst, generic, but that's not bad design. And I've never seen a dragon that looks like Charizard so I don't even know where that comes from.

This applies to anything that /vp/ hates. Lucario? You're a thirteen-year-old. Mewtwo? Genwunner. Charizard? Both. Gen 1 is your favorite? Leave. Hate a new design? Obviously you are automatically defending le magnemite le voltorb xDDD

If you hate its Steel-typing then go complain about the dozens of other Pokemon with nonsensical typings, if you hate the popularity then you should just stop playing Pokemon as a whole, it's a popular game.
