Which type has the worst designs, typically? I cast my vote for Psychic, lots of ugly Psychic pokemon.

Admittedly, there's a few great stand-outs, but starting with Gen III I feel like Psychic just became a dumping ground for weird shit. Maybe "bad" is too subjective, but you can't deny "weird." Mr. Mime's probably the only real oddball in the Psychic family from Gen I and II (and hell, I like him in a campy kind of way), but the only post-Gen II Psychic types I'm really a fan of are Reuniclus and Malamar.

I also dig Drowzee and Hypno, which is why they're the only Psychic pokemon I really have a picture of to attach to this post.

Ground is a sleeper pick, its best designs are ones where Ground feels like a sub-type afterthought.

Dark is the same way - Crawdaunt, Shiftry, Cacturne, Krookodile, Houndoom, etc are all great. But the pure DARKNESS ones are too edge.

I find that the majority of fully evolved grass pokemon are really appealing, but on the flipside, most of the first forms are kind of boring or forgettable.

Like, look at Lurantis for a recent example. That thing is awesome.
Then you've got Fomantis who is just another doe-eyed grass blob to add to the pile.

I still think grass types are fucking great looking in general though. Vileplume, Victreebel, Exeggutor, Cacturne, Breloom, Torterra, Sceptile, Roserade, Ludicolo, Gogoat etc. Even those god forsaken monkeys have Simisage.
