We don't even know if that is the end of the TF arc. (though it most likely is) They do have a history of faffing about for the last few episodes, usually to tie up whatever loose ends they have, but I can't think of anything that needs to be dealt with this time that can't be done simply in the final ep. In BW, they just faffed about because they had nothing else to do. It being just 4-6 eps unaccounted for, I doubt they'll even faff about, but I could be mistaken. Not after all that. It just dawns on me that we may not be seeing Clemont much longer. I'm sure after all this and Lumiose in shambles, he will have to stay behind to look after the gym. But all of this will come along with the fact Ash is going to be leaving soon. They'll have their goodbyes and Serena will be conflicted. Somewhere in there will be the impetus for going to Alola, if that is not dealt with in the last episode or at the beginning of SM. I've got it! Once this episode of AG aired where Drew/Harley said they were going to Johto, and the title was, "May and Drew! Rivals Forever!" I knew she was not going to travel with Ash anymore. I was a huge Advanceshipper at the time too so it was rough.

In retrospect it was for the best, but at the time in 2006 when we had no idea we'd have a new girl every series, it was disappointing.
