Damn, the animation really stepped up it's game; it has been a while since I had looked at anything relating to the anime and this is some good stuff.

On a side note, I'm pretty sure this scene is the writers letting out their feelings about having to justify making Pikachu so central, or about working on a kids' show where they aren't allowed to express any interesting ideas.
