Charizard knocked Greninja down with Dragon Claw
Greninja knocked Charizard down with Aerial Ace axe kick
Charizard got up and sent Greninja flying back with another dragon claw
Greninja sent Charizard sliding back with a normal water shuriken
Thanks to the previous attack, Ash saw an opening and had enough time to ready a giant water shuriken
Instead of dodging or defending, Alan decided to meet the attack head-on with Blast Burn

Since both sides couldn't dodge when they were using their super moves, it was decided on who was tougher. Alan used Charizard's advantage which was toughness while Ash didn't make use of Greninja's speed.
