Seeing how no new Mega pokemon have been revealed in any of the trailers so far it makes me wonder if this feature is returning? It brought new life into the Pokemon Franchise, but the feature was overpowered. It has too large of a demand for GameFreak to take it out, so I wonder if GameFreak is withholding information from any press releases regarding Mega evolution?

They're not going to remove a major feature from the games. The worst thing that could happen is that there are no new Mega Pokemon, just the old ones.

They will most likely stay silent about Megas until late September or all the way until November. As for new ones, I don't know, maybe they wil take a break this time dince SM seem to have a A LOT going on for it and new Megas might bring some oversaturation. Whatever remake/sequel comes after, that's when we should expect new Megas.

This. There's 50 (?) Megas. They're not being cut, but I doubt they're adding any more. Managing 50 Mega Stones, plus all the Z-stone crystals, plus other items is going to make the bag a mess.

The bag clutter is something that should really be fixed. Make Mega Stone a single item and remove type-enhancing items like Charcoal since plates do the same thing.
