Not a fan of Palossand's ability, Mudsdale's is just more reliable. I'm sure there's some I've forgotten, too, I like a lot of this gen's Pokemon so far.

Back when all we had was the starters and legendaries, I kinda wanted to go

Gonna do a normal run now though since there's way too much neat stuff to do miss out on; particularly wanna go with some of those repainted G1's; missed those guys.

I'll begrudingly use Rowlet because it has the least ugly final evolution.

Also Rockruff & Salandit, provided their evolutions don't also turn to shit, but I don't have high hopes there considering the rest of the designs this gen.

Older ones are great too, but putting one on your team means one slot less to try out one of the new ones, and there's so many good ones to go for already.

That said, I'll usually trade over a freshly hatched something from the previous game to join my starter, something I was curious about using but showed up too late to try out or similar.

Only ones I know that I'll use for sure are Mimikyu and Salandit. I do like other things too like Palossand, Rockruff, Vikavolt and Wishiwashi but I don't know. I'll probably decide the full team when I see the full dex. I did plan a full team for XY, and ended up not using half of the ones I planned.
