Months ago, we used to have charts with the tier of all Ashmons, i guess it's time to do it again.

Charizard was in A Tier of His Own.

Greninja was a failure, weakling in his normal mode and lost half of his battles in "saiyan mode". Also, couldn't accomplish his objective. Maybe he can be placed in the good tier, but it doesn't deserve to be in the "great tier", along with Sceptile and infernape.

Pikachu showed how much of a beast he is and rightfully deserves to be in the hightest tier, together with charizard.

In the context of the story where you consider the entire series, it makes no sense because he's already lost 5 times before this and one of those times was Tobias and this was supposed to be the time he wins.

From a marketing perspective it makes no sense, the genwunners and people who have been with the series for the past 20 years are almost too old to still be playing Pokemon. This was a good last chance to throw the people who made your franchise what it is a bone.

There's literally NO reason why they should of given Ash a super special form if they're just gonna drop it at the end of XY&Z with little to nothing known about it. Unless Lysandre really does know more about it which I kinda doubt, then it served no purpose in the series at all when they had already planned for Ash to lose anyway.

There's rumors that Ash-Greninja /may/ be in Sun/Moon and considering Perfect Zygarde is in then those rumors have some truth to them in that sense.

They are either gonna have Ash and Greninja lose the power altogether at the end of the Flare arc and Greninja get's oaked, or Greninja is gonna get more development in the Sun/Moon anime.

My point is like, the whole performance feels different. The massive water shurikens were a big threat against both Mega Gardevoire and Mega Sceptile, Sceptile being forced to use moves to clash with them (A tactic Ash took advantage of) while it just went straight through a Mega Gardevoire's Shadow Ball and did massive damage.

But against Mega Charizard, it sort of... did nothing.

Frogger didn't feel nearly as fast, which is a big feat considering that Mega Gardevoire's thing is that it's so fast it can effortlessly dodge nearly any move (Aside from AG's)

It feels like the Diantha fight is what the perfected form should be like and the Alan fight is what the shitty form should be like.

That's something that really pissed me off desu. The guy boasted about winning the league. He made promises accross the board. He kept his pokemon motivated an episode of two ago. Like I can understand him being supportive about Alan winning but not right before. I can deal with Ash losing and the banter but not with how he was portrayed at the end.
