Goddamn this is all stuff that consoles games figured out decades ago, but it still blows my mind to see this atmosphere in a mainline Pokemon game.

I like how they're finally straying away from the Chibi shit from Gen 6.

The only reason I didn't like the 3d models is because they used it so poorly. Besides some in-game models I am really enjoying the models.

I didnt mind the chibi models, or the sprites for that matter. Everything from Gen 3 onwards looks fine to me

Actually, the game could have probably done that front of the house scene in Gen 6 (and probably did). But we have no over head maps for Alola yet so that dynamic shot is in it's place.
