Playing through X again and I only want to use Gen 6 Pokemon

It's up to you.
While I like using mostly new mons I sometimes use old pokémon that got a new typing,mega or a new form.

You can't use mega charizard in gen one so as long as you use it always as a mega it should count.

if you wanna use a Mega you're really forced to use an old-gen mon unfortunately.

Gens 2 and 4 had a bit of gray with that too because of cross gen evos, though admittedly this is a lot less gray than those.

It all depends on what you count as a "New" Pokemon.
