Why do the 3D models look so much better than the art? The 3D model for this pokemon looks God-tier compared to the shit art.
Because this gen was more focused to design them as 3D beings instead of from 2D to 3D.

Sandcastle looks way better in 3d, Stufful still looks retarded, its face is dumb as fuck (I don't mind the butt tag).
I remember there was an interview some time ago where GF said that using 3d models allowed them to do different things that were not possible with sprites. I feel like this gen is them going nuts with those king of ideas.
