Is he going to make galvantula obsolete?

It will probably get a trash movepool and stats and be useless.

This one seems more physically oriented, plus Galvy still has its web niche.

Is this a joke? They look like they're going to fulfill different roles. I image Vikavolt will have more Sp.A and Galv will have more speed. Vikavolt probably wont have sticky web or compound eyes.

So Galvantula works well as a suicide lead or for doing some quick and easy damage with compound eyes thunder. I imagine Vikavolt will be a straight up sweeper, at least thats the look it gives off.

Maybe not. Galvantula has Sticky Web, accurate Thunder, and Vikavolt might not get the same kinds of moves outside of Thunderbolt and Bug Buzz, etc.

Still, Vikavolt has Levitate. If its stats are better, it will definitely have more of a niche.

STAB U-turn and Volt Switch is gonna be rad if it gets decent mixed stats. I have pretty high hopes for this guy, but I don't think he'll be too amazing.

Fair point. I still get the feeling Galv will be faster, but i hadnt considered that. Still, if nothing else I dont think it will get sticky web or compound eyes. And if you're right about the speed, then that will cement Vikavolt as a sweeper. So the two will have similar strengths but totally different goals, like beedrill and Scoliopede for example.
