It's a combination of Turtle and Detonator, but it does come out sounding like something a little kid came up with.
Reminds me of Boombanite, a Steel/Fire Magnemite Expy I made as a kid. Except it was a bomb not a magnet. Which is why Turto reminds me of it. Also the name. Being something a little kid would come up with. You get it.

I like it a lot. Everything about it is really interesting to me, both its design (which I'm a sucker for overegregious designs anyway) and its origins (Mata mata turtle, dragon turtle, maybe a kappa, etc.) It also really feels like a hybrid between gen 1 and modern design philosophies to me (including the name, which fits right in-line with gen 1), which makes it incredibly appealing, imo.

I love it, probably going to use it on my team.

I'll give you Talonflame, but Voltorb is an acceptable name.

Voltorb works similarly to real names, like pillbugs. Compound words that are simple enough to spring to mind immediately. A pillbug is pill-shaped and a bug. Voltorb is orb-shaped and half of the pokedex entries say they show up in power plants, where "volt" is going to be a pretty common word to describe electricity.

Talonflame tries to be the same kind of name, but fails. Both "talon" and "flame" are too far removed from the public lexicon, with one being a word only a person interested in birds would know, and the other being a rare word that's identical to the ubiquitous "fire."

All of that said, Turtonator is an okay name. I feel like Deturtle sounds marginally more natural while keeping the same components, but it isn't really a big deal.
