Honestly any hope I had for Serena or Amour is now completely dead. I always knew she would likely leave but I still expected *something* and not just a Misty type farewell. Seeing the writers blow off the league makes it obvious Serena/Amour will be the same way.

So after going through literally all the five stages of grief in the span of a few hours, I've finally reached acceptance of the fact that Ash lost stupidly again. I'm now slightly more hype for the Flare arc than I was this morning, if only because Lysandre is the best villain the show has ever had. The ending to today's episode just cemented my opinion, he is absolutely batshit fucking insane and it's going to be hype watching him wreck shit with Zygarde and Mega Gyarados.

I'm going to put this ass-backwards league out of my mind for now, try to enjoy the rest of the series, and then maybe check out the premiere of the SM anime. I probably won't ever be as invested in the anime ever again as I was in XY/Z, though, and I feel kind of sad about it. I guess the curse of Shudo lives on.
