Jeez, I know a lot of the designs so far have had rough 2D art, but amazing 3D models, but this guy is fucking rough.

From the German SuMo website, loosely translated:

Since Tortunator lives on volcanoes and feeds on sulphur and other substances that can be found near volcanic craters, its shell is covered by a layer of explosive substances - mainly sulphur. If Tortunator is hit, the spikes on his tank sparks and an explosion is triggered.

If it is near volcanic craters, the Pokémon disguises itself as a stone and lies in wait for its prey. Once they step on its back, Tortunator strikes with its tail, triggering an explosion.

The explosions emanating from Tortunators back come out of a hole that is located in the middle of the front of its body. This is also his weakness. Attacks that hit it there cause a great deal of damage to him.

Tank trap is an attack that only Tortunator can learn. It enables him to make the opponent at the start of the round a trap. Will it be taken in the course of this round of an attack, tank trap triggers an explosion that still inflicts far more damage to the attacker.

Kappa has been my favorite Youkai creature since my childhood. I even bought Kappa children's art books whenever we visited Japan back in the days.
So far my favorite Alola Pokemon. Hopefully it has a pre-evo or an evo.
