Altaria never stood out that much until my Alpha Sapphire playthrough where it was a beast that could sweep through most of the Elite Four.

Same applies for Azurmarill in my X playthrough.

I had ignored Mawile for a long time because it looked so strange. Later on, I found out that I was looking at the back of Mawile and when I saw the front I grow to liking it. Over time, it became my favorite Pokémon.

Call me a pleb, but I've been playing Gen 4 again recently and this guy's lore has grown on me considerably. It has this mystique that not many pokemon can quite achieve. What's up with that ring around its body? Or its almost centaur-like appearance. Is it the actual deity whom created the universe, or merely an avatar of said creator?

Not to mention the events that exist for it are rather unsettling and mysterious. I mean, it CREATES one of the three Creation Trio. Does its power show no bounds?

Anyway, yeah, Arceus. Oh, and the movie depiction of it was horrendous. Just thought that I'd add that in.

Used to dislike Vileplume for being an utterly average Grass/Poison with no particular skills. Then X rolls around and I realize between Sweet Scent and Petal Blizzard/Dazzling Gleam it's the perfect mon for EV training something by summoning hordes over and over and one-shotting them with a hit-all attack.

Also I can't deny the little fucker's cute.
