I actually really like it when this happens to be honest, especially if I liked the base design and didn't want it to change too much. It's nice to have some evolutions that don't try and reinvent the wheel mixed in with the ones that cause radical changes. Variety is nice.

There is nothing with a "IT GETS BIGGER" evolution. I don't want the design to change so dramatically that it looks nothing like the pokemon I caught it as.

No, they're shit as evolutions. The designs aren't inherently bad, but as developments past a prior design, they change too little. Krabby -> Kingler does NOT change too little, and you'd be a total fuckwad to state as much.
