It honestly bothers me how little of a shit the translators give to the Pokedex, that thing is the INCENTIVE to start every game. ORAS was the worst about it, just copypasting a ton of shit from X and Y, but keeping some of the RSE original dex entries so some are a paragraph long while others are barely two sentences.

Beyond that, many entries contradict each other or are stupid even for a kid to swallow, like Slugma being hotter than the Sun or Machamp punching 2,000 times a second.

Which if the Dex entries were meant to purely make kids go 'Wow!', then why do they have other ones that focus on the chlorophyll like properties of Bulbasaur or the entries that focus more on how Pokemon imitate actual animal-like colony behaviors as well?

Does the Professor just get completely shitfaced when he's studying and writing info down about the Pokemon you send him?
