Dark/Ground
When the first immigrants from Kanto arrived in Alola, they brought their pokemon with them. However, when these pokemon escaped or were released into the wild, they could cause havoc. Escaped Ekans found plentiful food supplies in the form of native bird pokemon such as Oricorio, and became stealthier in order to hunt them! Slithering in under the cover of darkness, they stalk and attack their sleeping prey. The Arbok which evolve from these Ekans are longer and slimmer than Kanto Arbok. Although they are only mildly venomous, they are fearsome constrictors!

Alolan Skrelp and Dragalge

A more peaceful variant. It relies more on grass attacks than spraying poison on prey. It adapted its camouflage to the types of seaweed commonly found in the Alola region.
