Gaia is fantastic. Also, go to /heg/ for questions like this.
I don't see the appeal in playing any hack to be honest. What's the point if you can't transfer your Pokemon to PokeBank and Sun/Moon?

It's about the adventure, not the destination.
Yes, I like to play the games in the original hardware, if I find a shiny I can keep it forever, and I can make a collection of every main team that I used.
But trying new things is also interesting, new maps, new story, new pokémon, new dialogue. Playing Uranium right now, this is the kind of stuff I'm talking about.

This game was done a millennium ago and was mostly done by hex editing while pushing the hacking movement forward.
Gotta give credit where it's due, of course it's gonna be meh looking back.
Snakewood feels really good for some reason. It's just really comfy.
I haven't played many hacks but Star Sapphire's pretty dope. Difficulty is a lot like how I'd design a game given the opportunity

Uranium is not a hack. Its a piece of shit made with RPG maker. The sprites are gay as shit. RPG maker is for the super autistic and the casuals who don't know any better. Go eat shit you faggot autist
