My XY team is a little edgy, but a lot of Dark types have the kind of aesthetic I was looking for when trying to make a nobility type to fit with Kalos' style. Furfrou is her loyal hound, Bisharp is her guardian knight, Zweilous is the dragon, etc.

Not yet, but I haven't finished the game yet so I've got a little bit of time before I hit the E4. I've just beaten the last gym and I'm soon on the way to Victory Road. I considered adding Yveltal to my team since it's a Dark type too, but I already have a Dark/Flying type and I tend not to use legendary Pokemon as a rule. XY is easy enough as it is.

Now, if you're asking "how did you get a Zweilous if you haven't gotten to Victory Road yet?" the answer is "copious amounts of breeding and trading from another game". I used Deino as a substitute for my starter.

That actually slipped my mind completely. They're not particularly easy to obtain in XY though, only available via Friend Safari and I don't think I have one stored in my Pokebank at all. If they were easily catchable in the main game then I probably would have added one, but I'll see if I have one stored away or if I can get one easily some other way. Sneasel is for cute. Why else would you need one? Although seriously, it's the fact it has gemstones on its body and, particularly in Weavile, it's large, crown-like headdress just screams nobility to me. Like Murkrow it doesn't have a particular role in the team other than I just felt like it suited the overall motif.

The fact I'd never used one before was an influence too. It's why I didn't use Pokemon like Chandelure or Aegislash on the team when they could conceivably fit, or why I didn't use Mightyena/Liepard over Furfrou despite them also being Dark types, because I've used them before.
