Alright, got my living dex uploaded to the bank in it's own group called 'Living Dex' (which I've got 30 boxes for, all the way up to box 871-900, just in case Sun/Moon have 150 or more new Pokemon.

The only thing that's triggering me is that the other 70 boxes in the default group are now not in order of 1-70, but rather 30-100.
Might sperg out tomorrow and fix it.

But I can happily say I've now "finished" gen 6. Thanks so fucking much to all the anons who helped me with trade evos, items, getting Volcanion and other event only Mythics, and all the other shit.

I'm probably going to Nuzlocke Platinum or White 2 next ( I'm picking up White 1 and Black 2 tomorrow from a store which are the last 2 DS titles I need to own them all ), or MM/Shiny hunt (thanks Shiny Charm) on Y/AS.

So I'm building an online team that I'll use for fun and against friends - my only rule - only gen 1 mons in this team.

So far my line up is pic related, but I have a pretty bad ice weakness. Current strategy is Zapdos for general support/utility/stall and Exeggutor using Trick Room and then having Rhydon and Snorlax as TR attackers. But I'm thinking of replacing Rhydon with Thick Club Marowak and Snorlax maybe for something entirely different. opinions?

I had extra Keldeo because I own all four Gen V games and got the event in all of them. I got an extra Landorus from my other Gen VI Hoenn game. I got extra Thundurus and Tornadus for—no joke—just depositing female Chikorita on the GTS. I got extra Deoxys by sniping two them on the GTS for random requests and another from my other Gen VI Hoenn game.

For my experience, Chikorita is highly desirable on the GTS for some reason—especially female ones. Just breed a massive amount of them and deposit them on the GTS for the extra shit you need. Getting gender differences is really easy this way since you can specify the gender you want on the GTS.

Oh, I forgot to add that you don't need any extra Meloetta, Furfrou, Giratina, Shaymin, etc. because they do not retain their alternate form in Pokémon Bank (which I assume is where you'll keep them all after you're done like me). While I encourage expanding your living Pokédex to include all forms, you should at least be sane about it.

No need for extra Arceus since those forms require items (which can't be put in the Bank). And it's completely doable. I did this in about a week using my Chikorita strategy. Don't be discouraged and give it a try. It feels pretty great once you're done. Even though I'm still missing that pesky Sandstorm Vivillon.

Mythical mons aren't require for ingame completion, but most people like having them anyways.

A good way to fill up most of what you're missing is to breed a decently well liked VGC mon with HA, decent EMs and IVs. It's how I got all the legendaries I was missing.

As in starting from scratch? Just put up reasonable trades on the GTS for things you can't capture yourself, and everything should work out fine. Try using Wonder Trade to start building your collection if you lack anything worthwhile to put on the GTS. Back when X & Y came out, it took me about three weeks to get all 718 Pokémon that were released at the time.
